Day
01: COSTA RICA - GRANADA
Pick up at the border with Costa
Rica ( Peñas Blanca). Transfer to Granada. (98 KM)
We will stop at the side of
the great lake of Nicaragua in the restaurant LA
MAR, whose owner is the famous baseball player
Dennis Martinez, we will have a snack and then we
will continue to the city of Rivas where we will
visit the museum and perform a panoramic tour. We
will carry on towards the marvelous and impressive
city of Granada, which colonial architecture will
take us back to the 18th Century, wander in narrow streets
with carts pulled by horses, learn about the customs of the epoch of the
Spanish conquers.
Historic Centre Tour: The
Church and Archaeological Museum of the Convent of
San Francisco.
Overnight stay in the Hotel
Alhambra 3* or similar charming hotels in the

Day
02: GRANADA
After
breakfast we will visit the Nature Reserve
“Mombacho Volcano”, which has many species of flora
and fauna characteristic of this zone. This
area is also used to cultivate coffee.
Once we climb the volcano we will get an impressive
view of the region, the great immensity of the lake
of Nicaragua, its small islands, and the Masaya’s
Volcano, among others. In the afternoon we will
finish our tour by visiting the Cocibolca (or
Nicaragua) Lake, with 356 small islands that abound
in the species of the region. Overnight in a local
hotel in Granada. |

Day
03: GRANADA-CATARINA-MASAYA-MANAGUA Breakfast.
Following the Check out we will visit the little
town of Catarina, with one of the most
stunning panoramic views in Nicaragua, that of
Laguna Apoyo, an impressive crater lake. Catarina
is a very picturesque town of artisans. We will
continue to the city of Masaya and the artisans
Market where you can find typical ceramic artifacts
from the region. Next we'll visit to the National Park Volcan
Masaya and its museum.. We will also learn how
the geological formation of the area and the country
in general. We will ascend the crater where we
can see the nests of chocoyos (love birds) that have
adapted to the sulfur environment of this active
Volcano. Next we will go to Managua where we will
overnight in Hotel Holyday Inn 4* |

Day
04: MANAGUA
Alter breakfast we will take a city tour of Managua
beginning by visiting the Historical Centre of the
capital - El Malecon, Plaza
Juan Pablo II, the National Theatre, the Ruben Dario
National Theatre, Dario Park, Central Park, the old
Cathedral, and The National Palace of Culture where
we can find the National Museum. Continuing with our
tour you will visit the archaeological site and
museum “Acahualinca Footprints”, with more than
10,000 years of history of Nicaragua's civilization. We will also visit the Site Museum
of Memorial Sandino, where we can admire the
panoramic view of the City of Managua. Last we’ll
visit the Central Market. |

05: MANAGUA-Frontera de Peñas Blancas with
Costa (140 Kms), or, depending on your tour
itinerary, to the International Airport for your
return flight home.

1. Transfer to
San Juan del Sur, to the hacienda & Ecolodge Morgan´s
Rock
Pick up at
the Costa Rican Border and transfer to San Juan
del Sur, to the hacienda & Ecolodge Morgan´s
Rock, beautiful all inclusive Ecol-hacienda
located just 45 minutes away from the border
with Costa Rica. An exotic and tropical
destination with a touch of luxury formed by and
spectacular flora and fauna. Private Beaches of

Day 2. Overnight in Morgan'as RockFree day

Day 3. Morgan Rocks - Isla de Ometepe.
Breakfast. 7:00 AM Departure to Port of San Jorge
where we will take the Ferry to go to Ometepe
Island. Religious sanctuary of local Indians.
Tour the island and overnight in Hotel Villa Paraiso where we will
have dinner on the beach.

Day 4. Ometepe.
Breakfast, the start the ascent of Maderas Volcano.
Walk 2
hours to reach altitude of 700 mts to arrive at the cascades,
take a bath surrounded by nature. Visit
Hacienda Magdalena where we can appreciate Idols
of the Mayan Culture. Dinner at Hotel Villa Paraiso.

Day 5. Ometepe-GranadaBreakfast.
Transfer to Port San Jorge for ferry transfer to Granada. Overnight stay in Hotel la Gran Francia.
Tour the marvelous and impressive city
of Granada, with colonial architecture that will
take us back to the 18th Century -
see The
church and San Francisco Convent, Cathedral, La
Merced Church, Guadalupe Church, La Polvora
Fortress. We will finish our tour by
visiting the Cocibolca (or Nicaragua) Lake and
some of its 356 small islands. Dinner in La Gran Francia
Restaurant.

01 BORDER WITH COSTA RICA-SAN JUAN DEL SUR
After welcoming you
in Peñas Blancas, the border with Costa Rica, we will take you to the
beautiful port of San Juan del Sur,
(458kms), where we will find
a variety of small restaurants located right
by the beach, lunch included. Spend
the afternoon at the beach.

Day 02 SAN JUAN DEL
SUR-OMETEPE Breakfast.
Departure at 6:40 am to the port of San
Jorge, (26km) where we will board a small
boat that will take us to the Island of
Ometepe, a religious sanctuary of
Nicaragua's Indians. Tour the
island, enjoy the
natural beauty of this sacred
place. We will visit the archaeological
museum of Altagracia, La Punta de Jesús
María and the lake of Charco Verde. Lunch
in a local restaurant, and around 4:00pm we
will go back to the port of San Jorge to
resume our journey to the City of Granada
(68km). Check in at Alambra Hotel 3*. |

Day 03 GRANADA Breakfast.
Tour of the city - the
Church and Archaeological museum of the
Convent of San Francisco, the Cathedral,
Church and Xalteva Square, Church “La
Merced”, church of Guadalupe, the fortress
“La Pólvora”, among other colonial
buildings, are just a part of the
architectonical beauty of this
city. You will have the afternoon free where
you can choose to take an optional tour
to either the “Small Islands” or El Mombacho Volcano. Onvernight in Alambra Hotel. |

Day 04 GRANADA-CATARINA-MASAYA-LEON Breakfast.
Check out then we will
go visit the municipality of Catarina, a
town of artisans, with incredible views of
the Laguna Apoyo. Next to the city of Masaya and
its Market of crafts . All the ceramics of the region, you will
be able to find them here. A visit to the Masaya Volcano National park and its museum,
where we will learn everything from many of
the traditions practiced by the natives of
the region, to the geological formations of
the area and the country in general, its
fauna and flora. We will move up to the top
of the crater of the volcano, from where we
will be able to see the many nests of
Parakeets, a specie of birds that have
adapted to the sulfurous environment of this
active volcano. Lunch en route. We will
continue our journey to the Occidental zone
of Nicaragua, until we reach the city of León (122km). Along the way, we will be able
to appreciate the immensity of the Momotombo
Volcano, which buried the old city of León
with its eruption in 1610. Check in at the

Day 05 LEON-MANAGUA
Breakfast. Today we
will be visiting the Nicaraguan city of
University culture, named this way by both
its excellence, and architecture. Besides
being the first city founded by the
Spaniards in Nicaragua, it constitutes the
intellectual cradle of the poet Rubén Darío, Father of Modernism and Prince of
Castellan Letters, as well as many other
renowned figures of Nicaragua's literature. We will
make a visit through the most important
churches in the city: La Recolección, El
Calvario, etc., without missing the
magnificent and splendorous Cathedral,
inside of which lay the remains of Rubén
Darío, and from the top of its domes we will
experience the almost perfect alignment of
the volcanic mountain range. Visit to the
boiling mud pools of San Jacinto, and
geysers located
at the slopes of the Santa Clara Volcano,
which waters contain sulfides and can be
used for medicinal purposes. In the
afternoon, transfer back to Managua and
overnight stay at the Holiday Inn Hotel 4*. |

Day 06 MANAGUA Breakfast
and departure to take the Managua City Tour.
Visit the Historical
Center of the capital: El Malecón, The Juan

Darío, Darío’s park, the old Cathedral, the

of Culture and the National Museum. Continue to the Museum of
“Sitio Huellas de Acahualinca”, with 10,000
years of history dating back to an eruption probably made
either by the Masaya, Asososca or Tiscapa
volcano. At the end of the day, we will
visit the Museum of Sandino’s Memorial Site,
from which we will experience the most
beautiful and vast overview of the city of
Managua, with the lake Xolotlan adorning its

OUT

right time, we will transfer you to either
the frontier with Costa Rica, (140kms) or to
the National Airport so you can take the
flight back to your home country.

Day
01 GRANADA-MANAGUA
Departure at 7:30 am
from the cities of San José or Liberia, with
direct flight to the Granada airport,
operated by Nature Air (Wednesdays and
Fridays.) Transfer to Managua. After arrival, we will visit the Historical
Center of the capital: El Malecón, The Juan
Pablo II square, the National Theater Rubén
Darío, Darío’s park, the old Cathedral, the
New House of Government, The National Palace
of Culture and the National Museum.
Following the tour, we will head
for the Restaurant “Cocina de Doña Haydeé“,
where we will partake of the most typical
dishes of Nicaragua's cuisine. Check in at
the Holiday Inn 5*, and at 2:30pm we will
continue our journey to the Museum of
“Sitio Huellas de Acahualinca”, which
gathers over 10,000 years of history of

Day 02 MANAGUA-LEON
Breakfast. Today we
will head towards the Occidental zone of
Nicaragua, passing by the Ruins of the Old
Leon, from where we will be able to observe
the Momotombo Volcano, which eruption
destroyed this city in the year 1610. Next
we will tour the Colonial city of Leon
visiting: The Cathedral, in which lies the
Tomb of Rubén Darío, walk trough the cellars
and then make our way up to the top of the
Cathedral, enjoy
the splendid panoramic view of the volcanic
mountain range, the Museum of Art, and the
native Indian district “El Laborío“. In the
afternoon we will visit the San Jacinto
boiling mud pools and geysers located at the slopes
of the Santa Clara Volcano, which waters
contain sulfides and can be used for
medicinal purposes. Transfer back to
Managua. |

Day 03 MANAGUA-VISTAMAR
Breakfast. Departure
in the morning to the beach “Pochomil”,
enjoy the
tranquility of a very charming small Hotel,
all meals included. |

Day 05 VISTAMAR-OMETEPE
Breakfast. Departure
in the morning to the port of San Jorge,
where we will board a boat that will take us
to the Island of Ometepe. Check in at the
Hotel “Villa Paraiso 3*” with private beach
on the lake.
In the afternoon we will tour the Island,
visiting the archaeological museum situated
in the town of Altagracia, La Punta Jesús
María and the Charco Verde lake, where we
will hear the legend that seems
to bring this magical place to life.
Transfer back to the hotel and overnight. |

Day 06 OMETEPE-GRANADA
Breakfast. In the
morning explore
the surroundings of this ecological
paradise. At noon we will go back to the
dock to take a ferry back and resume our
journey towards the city of Granada. Arrival
and check in at the “La Gran Francia Hotel
5*”. Lunch. Walk through the Historical
Center of this beautiful colonial city. |

Day 07 GRANADA- MASAYA-GRANADA
Breakfast. We will
start our day with a visit to the National
park of the Masaya Volcano, and its museum
of Natural History, where we will learn

We will continue ascending until we reach
the Oviedo Square, from where we will be
able to observe the impressive beauty and
magnitude of the crater, as well as the

Day 08 GRANADA-
MOMBACHO-ISLETAS-GRANADA
Breakfast. We will
begin our eco-touring route in the early
hours of the morning towards the biological
station of the Mombacho Volcano. During our
ascend we will delight in the
unmatchable beauty of this unique cloud
forest. A walk trough a 1,500 mts long footpath will
enable us to appreciate the total beauty of
this Island, the splendorous fauna and flora
found in this extensive diversity of
environments, filled with endemic species
which are characteristic to the zone.
Stunning trees covered with musk, ferns and
orchids up to the point where its impossible
to distinguish where one tree ends and
another begins. As we reach the sumit of the volcano, a dazzling
panoramic view of the Small Islands and the
City of Granada will little by little
come in sight; then we make our way into
the unique “Dwarfed Forest”, with its trees
of shrunk treetops and twisted trunks caused
by the strength of the wind. Lunch, and in
the afternoon we will take a boat ride
trough some of the channels that surround
the Small Islands of Lake Nicaragua. |

Day 09 GRANADA-EL
CHOCOYERO-CATARINA-SAN JUAN DE ORIENTE Y LOS
PUEBLOS
Breakfast. Today we
will continue with our tour in contact with
nature, specially designed for the
observation of “Chocoyos” (Parakeets). We
will leave early in the morning towards an
eco site called “El Chocoyero”.
Arrival, and a walk trough the narrow paths
in the thick woods where these type of birds
nest. We will observe the
birds, and rest under the leafy trees. Return to the bus and
continue to the
native towns of Catarina and San Juan de
Oriente, where we will be able to appreciate
the very best of local crafts. The towns are
very close one to the other - Diria,
Diriomo, Niqinohomo, Masatepe, San Marcos
and others, all gathered together in a
valley rich in
color, music and vivid stories of ancestral folklore. Crafts made of clay,
wood and bamboo, the best traditional
candies in the country, the most delicious
soups of the region, tour leaves an
unforgettable impression of the Chorotega Culture. Transfer back to Granada
in the afternoon and overnight. |

Transfer back to the
Airport, take your Nature Air
flight back to San Jose, or
transfer to the International Airport to
return to your country.
