Highlights: Delhi – Rishikesh - Okhimath - Deoria Tal - Chopta - Tungnath - Chandrasila
This is a tour taking you into what's called the Switzerland of India. From Rishikesh we travel to Okhimath, a gateway to the Panch Kedar region and the starting place of a trek to the picturesque Deoria Tal with memorable views of the Kedarnath massif and Chaukhamba. Traversing a spectacular valley studded with Garhwal villages clinging to steep hillsides, we make our way to Chopta and from here climb on the impressive Shiva temple of Tungnath(3,680m). Towering above the temple is Chandrasila(3,810m), a spire-like peak offering the grand panorama of the Indian Himalaya at its best. We summit the peak for a spectacular panorama of the Garhwal Himalaya.
